The Seattle Seahawks have witnessed a remarkable youth revolution in their team, and one player who continues to shine amidst this wave is second-year running back Kenneth Walker III. Walker's performance on the field not only captivates fans but also solidifies his position among the best backs in the league.
But this isn't just a biased opinion; the numbers speak for themselves. In the current season, Walker leads the entire NFL in broken and missed tackles. It's an impressive feat considering the pool of talented running backs, and even a special quarterback, that Walker surpasses.
So far this season, Walker has accumulated 283 rushing yards, ranking him 9th in the NFL. However, what truly sets him apart is his ability to find the end zone. Walker is currently in a three-way tie for the second-most rushing touchdowns in the league, alongside David Montgomery of the Detroit Lions and Kyren Williams from the Los Angeles Rams.
Walker was also nominated the Player of the Week early in the season, he rushed for 1,050 yards last season and became only the second rookie in team history to top the 1,000-yard mark (the other being Curt Warner in 1983). Walker has 283 yards on 64 carries in the first four games this season.
Unfortunately, with the Seattle Seahawks on a bye this week, fans will have to wait to see Walker continue his dominance on the field. However, there is no doubt that when the Seahawks are back in action, Walker will pick up right where he left off, leaving defenders in awe of his skills.
