One of Week 5’s most exciting games featured a 39-32 contest between the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks at the Superdome. Kenneth Walker III had his best game of the season, rushing for 88 yards on 8 attempts and a whopping 11 yards per rush.

While the Seahawks were on the losing end, the team showed a lot of grit after starting running back Rashad Penny went down with an injury and was later deemed lost for the season with a broken fibula. Kenneth Walker III filled in for the injured Penny admirably, and even broke off a monstrous 69-yard run that gave the Seahawks the lead in the fourth quarter.

While Seattle suffered terrible news with the season-ending injury to Penny, Walker seems more than ready to step up to the plate. With increased volume there’ll come increased opportunities, and with increased opportunities there’s more ways for Kenneth Walker III to make an impact. The new starting running back for the Seattle Seahawks will have his work cut out for him next week when the Seahawks face the Cardinals, who boast the fifth-best run defense in the league.
