Seattle Seahawks star rookie running back Kenneth Walker III took a trip back to his old stomping grounds and was in East Lansing to watch his college team, the Michigan State Spartans, take on the Indiana Hoosiers. The Spartans took some time during the game to introduce Kenneth Walker III to all of the Michigan State fans, to which he was met with an eruption of cheers throughout the stadium.
The amount of praise that Walker III received from the fans was to be expected. Kenneth Walker III originally came to Michigan State as a transfer from Wake Forest before the 2021 college football season. In just one season as a Spartan, Walker III was able to rush for 1,636 yards and 18 touchdowns while also winning the Doak Walker and Walter Camp Player of the Year awards.
After such a tremendous 2021 college season Kenneth Walker III decided to forego his senior year with Michigan State and enter the NFL draft. Walker III was then drafted by the Seahawks with the ninth pick in the second round of the NFL draft. Safe to say, the Michigan State faithful still know and love their star running back.
